The book does not covers actual cellphone repairs like lcd repair, heating temp to make screen separate.Soldering or changing part of recent models. I do repair cellphones plus i am a EE and the book did not help me at all.
I am not going to have a career as a mobile phone repairman but with the reading of this book and the understanding of how small some of the things are in a phone and how hard it would be to work on something with such small components actually give me the inspiration to increase the realization of how bad it is to drop a phone or tablet computer and am much more careful not to drop them after reading this book.
This book reflect the author's vast and hands on experience in mobile phones and tablet repairs. I sincerely thanks the author for producing a book that will help others to venture in the small business in this particular areas.
Warning! This Kilndle book can not be read on a kindle. A kindle FIRE, yes, your kindle APP, sure, an actual kindle like a paperwhite or standard kindle, nope. If you look very closely at the ad for this book you will find all this information there after clicking a couple links but if you are like me and just assume that a kindle book is readable on any kindle you will be very disappointed. Amazon will also do nothing but say they are sorry over and over again.On another note, probably because of the non-comparable format, many of he images are poor and the text is not well formatted and hard to read. Even when read on an iPad the formatting is terrible. The content has a lot of padding in the front of the book that has nothing to do wit the idea of repairing the devices but might Ben interesting if you wanted a history lesson.
Most of the diagrams in the copy I got were illegible, fuzzy, low pixel count I guess. I did not read it because it was a gift so I can not speak to the content in text. I am returning.
It's a good book on repair mobile phones.I hope that author will publish new books on troubleshooting of modern electronics equipment by electronics instrumentation from simple to advanced.
A lot of excelent information.
This a great resource to start learning phone and tablet repair. Very easy to pick up and read. Covers the basics for a beginner; from history of cellular technology to basic electronic component diagnostics and the tools needed. Some of the grammar is a bit awkward, but doesn't detract from the information.
